Our mission is to make it easy for practices to improve the surgical recovery experience.
Founded by healthcare, marketing and technology executives, our story is a personal one.
Amrit's mom had two total knee replacement surgeries. While the surgeon and care team were phenomenal, Amrit and his dad were the primary caregivers for Mom's recovery at home. Neither of them are medical professionals, so they learned on the go by sifting through the papers provided by the surgeon and the hospital and calling the surgeon's office to get more information. The office never complained about their calls, but Amrit felt that there had to be a better way to keep track of all the information and to share his mom's progress with her care team.
After talking to other people who recently had surgeries, the post-op experience was the same across the board - looking through stacks of paper for information, calling the doctor's office with the most basic questions, or worse, being sent to the ER because an infection was not caught on time.
On the other side, while surgeons and care teams manage many activities throughout the day brilliantly, they don't have enough time to follow up with every patient. There's no visibility to the patient's at-home recovery progress - sometimes, it's too late when they do call, and an expensive ER visit is next.
The idea of NovaNav.ai was born to make the post-op experience easier and better for patients & practices.
We are also joined by a highly experienced Medical Advisory Board, comprised of surgeons and healthcare administrators. The Board is pivotal in ensuring our workflows meet the stringent needs of the surgeon, care team's, and facility protocols.
